Sufficiency of Christ

He Was Crushed So That You Would Be Blessed – Pt 1

[This is Part 1 of a 2-part series]. Most Christians know that when Jesus went to the cross He died for their sins… and that is true. However, he didn’t just “die for our sins”, he did for SINNERS. He died for YOU. In this episode, based on prophetic scriptures in Isaiah 52 and 53 we examine:

  • The horror of the suffering Messiah
  • Jesus Takes it All: despised, rejected, knowing sorrow and grief firsthand. Bearing our griefs (bodily pains) and sorrows (mental and emotional pains).
  • Because He took all of our punishment, we can enjoy real, lasting Shalom peace.

[Scriptures: Isaiah 52:13-5, 53:3-6]

Exposing Satan’s Master Scheme: To Be Like God WITHOUT GOD – Pt. 5

[Part 5 of 5] While Satan’s plan to keep us away from God is devious — by distracting us with DOING to be like God — God’s REALITY for the new order of our being is INFINITELY better than DO — it is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory. In this episode we learn:

  • That we don’t live “for” Christ, but Christ HIMSELF is our life, who is IN us (1 Cor 1:27)
  • The zenith of Christian living is because of our union with Christ, who lives through us, AS US.
  • Living by The Spirit vs. living by the flesh (our humanity)
  • God is not interested in you “becoming”. Believer, you ARE because Christ IS.
  • The NEW ME: a humble vessel, honored to carry and manifest The Lord Jesus Christ!

Believe Also In Me

[John 14:1-6] Many people say they “believe in God”…. but do you believe IN JESUS? Many Christians say they believe in Jesus and yet they burn themselves out trying to be “more like Jesus”. God is not interested in you “trying to be more like Jesus”…. He’s got a better way, and that way IS Jesus. In this lesson we discover:

  • Even though God made man in His image and according to His likeness (Gen 1:26), Adam and Eve bought the Satanic lie that they could be like God without God. The impact of that great lie effects our thinking today.
  • Jesus is the both perfect deity and perfect humanity. All that God The Father does is only through Jesus. That’s the way He gets things done, even in our own lives.
  • How easy it is — because of fallen thinking — to fall into the trap of “I will make myself like the Most High”.
  • What real repentance is.
  • What true saving faith is.

Justified Forever! Part 1

Many Christians are crippled in their walk with the Lord, because they wrongly believe that God is relating to them on the basis of their righteousness, instead of on the righteousness of JESUS CHRIST. But the truth is, we could never, in a billion-trillion years come even close to being “good enough” for God. If we could, then WE would have to get the glory, not God.

Recently, I preached a message at my home church called, “Justified Forever!”. Today, we’ll hear the first part of this message. It is important to understand that the biblical truth of justification by faith in Jesus and His finished work is vital to successful God-honoring Christianity. This truth sparked the Reformation nearly 500 years ago. It’s message has brought many to the saving knowledge of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews Pt 30: Remember!

[Hebrews 10:32-37]

It can be tough walking in a world where the majority of those around us walk by sight and not by faith, by the flesh and not by the Spirit. In this episode we look at:

  • The importance of remembering the fullness of Jesus Christ, the perfection of His finished work and that we are 100% complete in Him.
  • The supernatural effect of the illumination of Christ, His finished work, our completeness in Him and Christ alive in us.
  • Holding on to the confidence we have in Him.
  • The great reward such confidence gives us.

Hebrews Pt 29: God’s Success with YOU in the New Covenant

[Hebrews 10:15-31]. Too many Christians experience a “Christian” life that is more like a roller coaster ride: ups and downs, with more down than up. The reason for such inconsistency is that they try to live their Christian lives based on their inconsistent performance. The Epistle to the Hebrews repeatedly proves that real Christian living is based on CHRIST and His perfect finished work. In this episode we explore:

  • A second recitation of the New Covenant that connect Christ’s finished work to our condition as redeemed and saved people.
  • The delivering power of Christ’s absolute remission from sin.
  • We now have boldness to enter the Holiest, by the new and living Way of CHRIST Himself.
  • The “let us” results of the completeness of Christ’s work for us and in us.
  • Clear scriptural proof that the “scary verses” Hebrews 10:26-31 do NOT apply to one who is in Christ, and exactly what kind of a person to whom they do apply.

Hebrews Pt 28: 100% Complete & 100% Sanctified Forever

[Text: Hebrews 10:11-15]

Hebrews 10:14 (NASB) declares, “For by ONE offering He HAS PERFECTED for all time those who ARE sanctified.” Those are revolutionary, life changing words. In this episode we learn how Christ’s perfect, once for all time finished work makes us as perfectly complete as He is. This 100% completeness is not because of us, but because the believer is IN CHRIST. This is not what some wrongly call “positional truth” (no such concept exists in the Bible). We are not in a “position”, but a PERSON, The Lord Jesus Christ. This NOW reality is the essential key to the victorious Christian life!

Hebrews Pt 26: Out with the Old, in with the New!

In this study, we take up the second half of Hebrews 9, verses 16-28. We talk about:

  • Wills, testaments and covenants: what they are, what they have to do with Jesus and what they have to do with YOU.
  • The vast difference between the Old Covenant/Testament of law, which left us in sin, defeat, incompleteness, and condemnation and the NEW Covenant/Testament, leading us to the remission of sins, completeness, victory, closeness with God and God’s blessing.
  • We also look into what the shedding of Jesus’ blood accomplished for us, how Jesus was offered ONCE to bear the sins of many.

Hebrews Pt 17: So Much Better (Heb 8:1-9)

Hebrews 8:6 declares, “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” In this study of Hebrews 8:1-9, we see even more vividly how the New Covenant — the covenant of grace — is as infinitely better than the Old Covenant of law, as Jesus Himself is. We’ll examine:

  • The SO MUCH BETTER of the High Priestly service of Jesus.
  • The SO MUCH BETTER of Jesus’ more excellent ministry brings in a MUCH BETTER covenant.
  • The fault of the Old Covenant of Law: sinful man, in desperate need of a new and infinitely better covenant.

Hebrews Pt 15: Why We Need a Great High Priest

Why do we need a Great High Priest? Four chapters in Hebrews are dedicated to this important subject. The Bible is full of talk about priests. But what does this have to do with us? Everything! In this podcast:

  • We identify our greatest needs and how they are fully met by Jesus, our Great High Priest.
  • We learn about the significance of Melchizedek, the Priest King and how this one identified as “King of Righteousness” and “King of Peace” points to Jesus our Great High Priest, the Source of real righteousness and peace.
