More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times 9: This is Our Hope: God’s Purpose Shall Stand!

[Series: More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times] Romans 8:28-30. The biggest fear that we can have is our own, total failure. This darkens our horizon and hinders our faith walk with God right now. In this episode we see that God’s real Hope has nothing at all to do with you or what you do, but completely upon His initiative and successful action:

  • The incredibly encouraging reality of God’s supreme sovereignty can be clearly seen in Romans 8:28-30.
  • All things work together for good… and why… and for whom?
  • The Success of God in The Believer, verses 29 and 30. His success means our success. This has tremendous power over our tendency to fail by the flesh.
  • The Golden Chain of Redemption

More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times 8: Perfect Intercession for You

[Series: More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times] What would you think if you knew that there was someone who is praying for you and that someone was offering perfect prayers to God on your behalf? The good news is that you DO have such a perfect Intercessor, right now. In this episode we discover:

  • God is our sole source of real, unfailing hope
  • The Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf. God personally takes up our plea and bears us up.
  • The Holy Spirit takes us beyond the limitations of human language and connects us with God’s heart and resources.

More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times 7 – Saved in Hope

[Series: More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times] All around us seems to be in hopelessness and despair. Our world has been thrown into deep crisis because of the pandemic. Racial unrest tears the heart of the nation. In city after city the voices of peaceful protesters are drowned out by gangs of criminals who loot, set fire and murder at night. Is there any possible hope? In this episode we will see that GOD HIMSELF says, “Yes! There is INCREDIBLE HOPE”…

  • The troubles of our time are seen in the much wider context of the creation that “groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.”
  • It is critical that a Christian not look to the world’s problems from a worldly perspective, but based on the Bible. The heart of racisim is the sinful selfishness of man.
  • The believer, even though outwardly has a temporary body, has the Holy Spirit who testifies to us of the realities of the world to come.
  • The great hope which is come. What is the culmination of all things.

More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times 6 – Revealing the Sons of God

[Series: More Than Conquerors in the Darkest of Times] We have been plunged into times of darkness and hopelessness. The Coronavirus Pandemic has killed over 100,000 people world wide and resulted in a long shut down. Great economic uncertainty abounds as many are unemployed, racial tension and riots are igniting cities across the land. Is there any hope at all? The answer is definitely YES. In this episode you, believer, will see how God wants to bring the world that hope through you:

  • The significance of God adopting you, making you an heir.
  • How God’s glory is revealed in and through the believer.
  • How all of creation is eagerly waiting for the revealing of the sons of God.
  • What Romans 8:20 means when it says “the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope.”

The Eternal God and Our Refuge

I was awakened at about 2:15 one morning and had difficulty falling back to sleep, being plagued with “popcorn worries” – those pesky worries about one thing or another that keep popping up. After taking authority over Satan (we know where this sort of stuff ultimately comes from), I turned to The Bible and saw this passage:

Deuteronomy 33:27-29, esp. 27a
27  The eternal God is your refuge,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;
