Hebrews Pt 28: 100% Complete & 100% Sanctified Forever

[Text: Hebrews 10:11-15]

Hebrews 10:14 (NASB) declares, “For by ONE offering He HAS PERFECTED for all time those who ARE sanctified.” Those are revolutionary, life changing words. In this episode we learn how Christ’s perfect, once for all time finished work makes us as perfectly complete as He is. This 100% completeness is not because of us, but because the believer is IN CHRIST. This is not what some wrongly call “positional truth” (no such concept exists in the Bible). We are not in a “position”, but a PERSON, The Lord Jesus Christ. This NOW reality is the essential key to the victorious Christian life!

Hebrews Pt 17: So Much Better (Heb 8:1-9)

Hebrews 8:6 declares, “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” In this study of Hebrews 8:1-9, we see even more vividly how the New Covenant — the covenant of grace — is as infinitely better than the Old Covenant of law, as Jesus Himself is. We’ll examine:

  • The SO MUCH BETTER of the High Priestly service of Jesus.
  • The SO MUCH BETTER of Jesus’ more excellent ministry brings in a MUCH BETTER covenant.
  • The fault of the Old Covenant of Law: sinful man, in desperate need of a new and infinitely better covenant.

What Pleases God?

(1)  Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy,
Because of Your truth.
(2) Why should the Gentiles say,
“So where is their God?”
(3) But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases.
— Psalm 115:1-3

Throughout the scripture we clearly see that the almighty, transcendent and holy God “does whatever He pleases”.  But has it ever occurred to you: What pleases God?

The answer may surprise you.  Look at the following verses: …

Hebrews Pt 13: Real & False Salvation (Hebrews 6, pt 2)

Many Christians are afraid that they may lose their salvation. They believe that the warning verses in Hebrews 6:4-8 and 10:26-31 are aimed at Christians. Is Hebrews really about losing your salvation? Can a Christian’s sin be more powerful than Christ’s finished work, thus negating that work on his behalf?

In this podcast, we deal with these questions head on:

  • We need to remember to whom this epistle was written
  • Who is the type of person being warned in verses 4-8?
  • A very different type of person is addressed in verses 9-12, one that has experienced true salvation.
  • The faith and perseverance that endures to the end.

God Can Do Far Beyond What We Can Imagine

Ephesians 3:20 (Amplified Version)
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]
One of the most powerful reminders to me of the reality and greatness of God is the starry night sky. Far from city lights we can make out our view of the Milky Way galaxy, home to our solar system and billions of stars. Scientists tell us that our galaxy is 100,000 light years across. One light year is 5.76 trillion miles. There are billions of galaxies in the known universe. Some astrophysicists theorize there may even be universes beyond our own. …

Hebrews Pt 12: Righteousness Makes a Huge Difference

Our Hebrews series continues in chapter 5:12 through 6:3. We answer the questions:

  • Why would a person be considered a “spiritual babe”?

Most Christians are loaded down with a sin consciousness, instead of realizing the JOY of being made righteous and the incredible difference it makes in their spiritual lives.

This episode plunges into these great truths that will set you free!
